If you haven't been on the shores of Lake Superior when a nor'easter is rolling in, you don't know what it truly is like. If you haven't been outside when the air is perfectly still on the coldest winter's day on record, you don't know how it truly feels to breath that air in and feel the cold on your exposed skin.
If you haven't walked the beaches of Atlantic City, New Jersey, Jacksonville Florida, Santa Cruz, California, and Pismo Beach, California, you don't know how different each ocean is, or how varied the sand can be!
If you haven't touched the hide of a horse on a hot summer day and felt the heat under your hand, just this side of sweat, you don't know what it truly is like. If you've never been in a haymow during haying season, you can't know the sweet heady intoxicating scent of grasses curing.
There are so many things that each of us experience in our lives and then take for granted that other people around us, know what that experience means. We truly cannot be in each others' heads. We are unique.
