Free Stuff for Me

I scored big at the quilt guild this week. They always have a table of free stuff. I have some scrumptious bright colors to play with. A lot of it is already cut and pieced...not only that, but pieced well! I will make some pretty pretty charity quilts with this. I love fabrics, all kinds of fabrics. This find makes me feel like it is a special occasion and I got presents!
The photos don't do the colors justice. (When do they ever?)  I also got yardages of some green and a rose color. I plan to make some summer tops with them. The green is a gauzy light weight cotton with a palm tree print on it. I can picture it as a cool summer top to wear! The rose is more like a linen. I am not sure what I will do with it yet.
You probably can't tell from the picture below, unless you click on the photo to enlarge it, but there is a bunch of owl prints in this bunch of fabric. Who can go wrong with owl prints? I know I can't.
I love working with such lively colors! I would never have mixed them up this way and the challenge of making this into a quilt, energizes me!

That's all from here! Happy Sewing!
