I have pests in the studio!!! I caught most of them in jars and will share these with my guild in a few weeks.

One of the quilts at the EBHQ show was similar to your jar quilt, except that it was lanterns. I don't know if you saw it, but I thought it work very well for large scale prints.
Since I don't know what the EBHQ show is/was, I guess I haven't seen it! lol
I've made bug jar quilt blocks and jar blocks with the theme of collecting things like shells, marbles, etc. It is a fun block pattern to use.
