I'm Falling!

October First already??? Yup, that is what the calendar says! So where did September go? The leaves are falling fast from our oak trees. The Mister got nine bags of them mowed off the yard yesterday and you can't even tell that he did it! There were more leaves falling as fast as he was sucking them up!

The quilt guild meeting for October is in ten days. We went with a Maple Leaf block for the block of the month:
I like these blocks and am thinking about making a table runner with this pattern, for Thanksgiving.

I also finished one of the Christmas gifts for this year. It is a calendar with pockets to put treats into as you count down the days till Christmas.
I used metallic threads for the quilting and the blanket stitching around each pocket. In the right light, it really sparkles!

The Halloween quilt is off the frame and ready to have the borders quilted. So far, so good on that project! Next will be a bunch of little projects to put in the booth for holiday sales. I have one more Halloween type project to add to the ones already there. I need to make a bunch of Thanksgiving items and then a much bigger bunch of Christmas type things for the big push in sales that starts after Thanksgiving!

That's all for now folks! Now go sew something!!!
