At the beginning of this crazy month, Sarah Ann Smith came all the way from Maine, to visit ME! Isn't that special? Of course she also had a program and workshops for my quilt guild too, but I am sure it was more to visit with me. :)
We've known each other online for a long time, but had never met in person before. She was very easy to have over for a few meals and to show her around a little bit. It was her first visit to Arkansas too.
She taught a class that included painting on fabric for embellishing. This has inspired me to try to get an old landscape quilt out and to see what I can do with it. (Thanks Sarah!!!)
Remember this landscape quilt? I am trying a few new techniques with it. It will be a learning experiment for me!
So far I have removed the birds from the sky and started painting some greenery and rays on. I hope to make a lot more progress with it tomorrow and have lots of ideas to try!
In other news I have joined an ATC (Artist Trading Card) swap. I don't have any pictures to show you from that one yet. I first want to work on the landscape quilt as there is a self imposed deadline to get it done. The ATCs aren't due until June.
Hot weather here, means more quilting in the air conditioned house!
That's about it for today!

Sherri,
I have always appreciated this landscape. The dimension of the bridge has me amazed.
It is wonderful that Sarah Ann was with you, I have followed her blog and love her work. Sunshine
Thanks Carolyn! Maybe when it is done, I will send it to you! :) OR maybe if I can't make it work out the way I want it to, I will send it to you to play with! lol
I appreciate your comments, as always. Thanks for stopping by!
