Little Owies cause big pains

I was scrubbing a metal thing and caught my thumb on it. The nail was quite a bit longer and the edge of the metal split that nail all the way down into the quick! I trimmed the nail back as it was just hanging there. This is such a tiny spot but oh my it hurts like crazy!!! Because this happened to my left hand, am I am left-handed, I wasn't able to do much quilting or sewing this week.

At least I could still do my sketches!
