Tidying Up

The guild meeting this morning was awesome. A group of women have been working on Baltimore Album type quilts. To see over a dozen projects with all that intricate applique work was inspiring! Not enough to make me want to try one...not just yet anyway.

As promised, here are my other recently finished quilts. The round robin House Medallion quilt is up first:
It is larger than a lap quilt but smaller than a twin bed size quilt. I am glad it is done done done!!!
Next is the Downy Quilts for Kids quilt:
Tommy named it "Togetherness" because the kids in the focus print are holding hands. Isn't that sweet! I will be sending this off, tomorrow.

Finally the Keepsake Quilting Bali fabric challenge. Every diamond shape has a different FMQ pattern to it. I used metallic threads throughout. I don't know WHY I do such torture to myself!!! I have little hope that it will be spectacular enough to win any prizes, but I win because I learned even more techniques and tried my first tumbling blocks pattern. It measures 30"x30":
I took in two orphan quilts to finish into charity quilts. Other than those two, I only have the U is for Unicorn for machine work. Everything else is hand work. As I mentioned yesterday, I am not sure what is next on the cutting table! You'll just have to wait and see. Tomorrow we are going to go look at that property that should be made into a quilt shop.

It is 68° outside. I am going to go open windows in the house and enjoy some fresh air!
Happy Quilting!!!

Thanks CJ. I guess I should have mentioned that the fabrics are not picked by me! Keepsake sends the challenge fabrics to you and the rules of each challenge they do. It is then up to you to make something of it!
