Are You Ready for Some Football???

What? You're not? Me either, other than it does keep the other adult in the house, entertained for a few hours each Sunday.
So how about this? Are you ready for a bunch of photos? OK!!! I can do that!
If you are a regular reader of this blog, you may recall the June block-of-the-month that I did for our guild. It was a black and white block. There were over 20 turned in! I joked with the guild members that this was one drawing that I wanted to win! I usually do not enter the drawings, even though I always have blocks to contribute for them. Um....guess who won? I was shocked! What a laugh we all had. My first photo is my design wall in my studio. I put the blocks up to show them to you.
You can see the U is for Unicorn borders around the blocks too. I actually did some sewing on one of the borders. There is still a long way to go though. In the next photo I arranged the blocks differently, just to start thinking about how I might like to lay them out.
In the studio shot, if you look to the left you will see block nine of the My Tweets BOM from last year! I have just now gotten this block done. I am a little behind on them all. Only three more of them to go though! I am already scared about how to finish this one, when it comes to quilting it!

Here is my new distraction:
There are four "Smash" journals that I bought with coupons today, and one regular art notebook/journal that was on clearance. I like these Smash art journals. I hope they get me into a different mindset when it comes to doing art journaling. I am not sure if I am going to do Creative Prompts in them, or travels, or life in general, or make one for each of my children, or ??? But they are just too neat and I could not resist them!

I also finished the last of the 47, 14" blocks for my Leafy Quilt. Now I have to decide which log cabin layout I like best.

I've gotten all the flowers sewn onto the garden quilt that I call "Three Bridges" even though it is only one bridge. lol Each flower has a beaded center.
I am not sure what else I will do to this piece. It doesn't feel done yet. My spouse said there should be something in the bottom of the sunbeam, so I added something there.
Can you see it?
How about now?

Maybe if I change the lighting setting?
It looks like I have lights build in!

If you click on the photos you might be able to make out the little dragonflies with their iridescent wings and beaded bodies. I love how they shine when the light hits them!

That's it for now. I have been busy! I just don't take time to load photos and write postings as much as I used to. I hope you enjoyed this! See you next time....now go sew something!!!

I think your landscape quilt is stunning. You are much to hard on yourself!!!!! Also, I agree, the extra leaves on #9 My Tweets works very well. I may steal your modification idea if I EVER get to block #9! As for the Buckley perfect circles, I adore them! I would love to know what they are made of. They are heavier and more heat resistant than the heat resistant Templar sheets that I use. Why don't we email Karen and ask!
