Time for a change (backwards)

For the past year I've been putting all my posts over at the Walker Lady blog. I've decided to change back and put my creative arts here and life stuff on the Walker Lady blog. Walker Lady is about life's battles, mental health issues, Abby's adventures, weight struggles, growing older, and the like. Lazy Quilter is quilting, embroidery, crocheting, and anything artsy fartsy. Without further ado, here is my current posting with my crafting.

It's been a quilting frenzy of sorts here. I am the challenge coordinator of our local quilt guild. I try to come up with inspirational, and hopefully fun challenges for our guild. The current challenge is a Mystery Quilt challenge that is called Swirlygig. The pattern was used with permission from Kristin Roylance. You can see her pattern on her website: CuteQuiltPatterns.com

This is the fabric I auditioned for the backing on the Swirlygig quilt:
It is now sandwiched and waiting for me to take time to quilt it.

This is the Brick quilt, all done!
I haven't quilted a quilt in ages.
I even did the binding.
This will be a donation quilt through our guild.

I have plenty more quilts to work on.

OH look, I finished a second donation quilt!
It sure is busy!!!

I've been fighting with the thoughts that I MUST use up my fabrics and not buy more because I will never get all the quilts made that I have fabric for. It got so bad that I stopped making quilts for myself or anyone else.
Then I signed on to be the challenge coordinator for our guild. That has been a game changer for me. I mostly use free blocks and fabric from the guild but I've also been tossing in bits from my own stash. The biggest benefit has been the creative bug that bit me hard, working with all these different fabrics and blocks.
As I left the studio this afternoon, there was this conglomeration of blocks on the design wall.
Eventually, they will be joined to become the next donation quilt!
Till next time, I hope you are enjoying the fall weather that is finally starting to show up! Happy crafting y'all!
